OBJECTIVE and MISSION STATEMENT

The objectives of the Ipperwash and Area CSC are to develop and maintain a partnership between the community and police; to identify community and individual concerns related to policing, safety and security matters; to represent these concerns to the OPP and/or other community resources and help to effect solutions; to encourage a sense of pride and strong commitment to improving the quality of life of the community.

IDENTITY THEFT and FRAUD

Resources for the information presented at these Seminars include: The Bank of Canada, RCMP, other Police Services, major credit card companies, The Ontario Securities Commission and other trusted contributors. Each Seminar is designed to last about one hour, but can be shortened. Typically, these Seminars are presented to seniors' groups, church groups, service clubs, condo complexes, etc. but are not restricted to only those groups. OPP INVESTIGATING DAYTIME BREAK AND ENTER

(LAMBTON, ON) On Friday May 5th, 2017 at just after 4:30 p.m., Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was dispatched to a residential break and enter in the 9400 block of Klondyke Road, Municipality of Lambton Shores, ON.
Lambton County OPP attended the address and upon arrival was informed by the victim that at some time between approximately 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., unknown person(s) gained entry into the home and stole approximately $10,000 in property. Of significant concern was the theft of two firearms described as a:
Mossberg 20 gauge pump action shotgun, camouflage in color Winchester Savage .300 bolt action rifle
The West Region OPP Forensic Identification Unit was requested and did attend to assist with the investigation. Investigation is on-going.
